Create and manage Public IP Addresses

Prerequisites

• You have a STACKIT customer account: Create a customer Account
• You have a STACKIT user account: Create a user account
• You have a STACKIT project: Create a project

Scope of this article

This article describes the management of STACKIT Public IP Addresses.

This guide covers STACKIT Public IP Address, which is an implementation of floating addresses.

List Public IP Addresses

STACKIT Portal

1. On the pane on the left click on Public IP. You can find it in the Networking section.
2. If your project has at least one public address, there will be a list of existing IP addresses.
3. Click on a list entry to gather more details.

Create a Public IP Address

1. On the pane on the left click on Public IP. You can find it in the Networking section.
2. Click on Create public IP
3. A new pane opens. There you can optionally assign the new IP to an existing server
4. To finally create the IP address click on Order fee-based

Edit a Public IP Address

1. On the pane on the left click on Public IP. You can find it in the Networking section.
2. If your project has at least one public address, there will be a list of existing IP addresses.
3. Click on a list entry to open it.
4. Now you can associate and deassociate the IP address from a ressource. Either click on Associate ressource or …
5. Click on Save to finish editing.

Delete a Public IP Address

STACKIT Portal

1. On the pane on the left click on Public IP. You can find it in the Networking section.
2. If your project has at least one public address, there will be a list of existing IP addresses.
3. Click on a list entry to open it.
4. On the upper right, click on Delete
5. On the new pane click on Delete again to finally delete the IP address.

You can not get a deleted IP address back. Please keep this in mind before deleting it.
