Move projects

You can move a project only between folders inside the same organization. Moving projects across organizations is not supported.

Due to the hierarchical nature of Identity and Access Management (IAM), moving a project to a new folder will inherit the access control settings of that folder. This means the role bindings defined for the new folder will also apply to the moved project.

Prerequisites

To move a project, you need the resource-manager.project.edit permission. This permission is included in the Owner role and several other roles.

Procedure

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the Resource Manager Page in the Portal.
2. Click on the context menu.
3. Select Move project.
4. Select the new target organization or folder.
5. Click Move.
