  Is there a cost associated with the Unified Firewall?

  Currently, the UFW is offered as a free tier service.

  Does the UFW support traffic inspection (IDS/IPS)?

  Not in the initial release. Advanced security features like Traffic Inspection (IDS/IPS), Geo Blocking, and URL Filtering are planned for the Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) release in 2026.

  How does the firewall handle high traffic loads?

  The UFW is built on the shared STACKIT architecture framework with Kubernetes and features automated scaling capabilities to handle increasing traffic volumes without performance degradation.

  Can I view security settings for my entire organization?

  Organization-level dashboards and folder-level views are planned for a future release in 2026. The current version focuses on project-level security management.

  Can I still use the previous flows to create / update / delete ACL attached to my STACKIT resources?

  Yes, all the already existing flows are still in place, including the APIs, the Unified Firewall aims to improve the customer experience.
