You need a quick understanding of the overall firewall configuration without clicking through multiple resource tabs.

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.
2. The main landing page is the Unified Firewall Dashboard.
3. This view aggregates security groups, database ACLs, and public IP configurations into one list for immediate review.

Create a Security group using a the Unified Firewall wizard

You need to quickly create a Security group without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.

2. Click Create firewall rule. In the wizard, select the Rule Type = Security group, Product = Security Group and select Create new Security Group.

   Continue by pushing the Next button

   In the second step of the wizard, fill out the Group name and Group description

3. Finish by pushing the Create button

You need to quickly create a security route without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.

2. Click Create firewall rule. In the wizard, select the Rule Type = Security rule, Product = Security Group, Deployment Target= “an existing Security Group”

   Continue by pushing the Next button

   In the second step of the wizard, fill out the form with: Description, Protocol, Direction, Ip range (or check the Any box) and Port

3. Finish by pushing the Create button

Create a ACL rule using a the Unified Firewall wizard

You need to quickly create a ACL route without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.

2. Click Create firewall rule. In the wizard, select the Rule Type = ACL, Product and Deployment target

   Continue by pushing the Next button

   In the second step of the wizard, fill the ACL Ip range

3. Finish by pushing the Create button

Create a Public IP rule using a the Unified Firewall wizard

You need to quickly request a new Public IP without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.

2. Click Create firewall rule. In the wizard, select the Rule Type = Public IP, Product and Deployment target

   Continue by pushing the Next button

   In the second step of the wizard, agree with the price per Public IP

3. Finish by pushing the Order fee-based button

Edit a Security rule using a the Unified Firewall wizard

You need to quickly edit a security rule without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.

2. Click the contextual menu of the respective firewall rule and select Edit Go to the second step of the wizard by pushing the Next button

   Fill out the new information you need

3. Finish by pushing the Save button

You need to quickly edit a ACL without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.

2. Click the contextual menu of the respective firewall rule and select Edit Go to the second step of the wizard by pushing the Next button

   Enter the needed ACL IP range

3. Finish by pushing the Save button

Delete a firewall rule using a the Unified Firewall wizard

You need to quickly delete a firewall rule without leaving the Unified firewall dashboard and see the overview in near real time

STACKIT Portal

1. Open the STACKIT Unified Firewall.
2. Click the contextual menu of the respective firewall rule and select Delete Enter the firewall rule name
3. Finish by pushing the Delete button
