Onboard end customers
As a reseller partner, you have two ways to onboard your end-customers. Your choice depends on how your end-customers prefer to manage their services. By selecting the appropriate onboarding method, you can meet your end-customers’ specific needs while effectively managing services and projects.
Method 1: Create a separate organization for the end-customer
Section titled “Method 1: Create a separate organization for the end-customer”Choose this method if:
- The end-customer prefers to manage their services independently.
- The end-customer needs a separate organization for their projects.
Before you start, check with your end-customer or your partner sales account manager to see if the end-customer already has a STACKIT organization.
- If the end-customer does not have an organization: Create a new organization by following the steps to create a new organization.
- If the end-customer already has an organization: Handle the existing organization by following the steps to handle an existing organization.
After the organization is created or the connection is established:
- The designated contact person receives an invitation email.
- The contact person can log in, configure the organization, and invite other users.
- A customer relation between the reseller and the end-customer organization is established.
Steps to create a new organization
Section titled “Steps to create a new organization”To start the process:
- Contact your Partner Sales Account Manager. Alternatively, open a support ticket through the Help Center.
- Provide us with the following information from your end-customer:
Company Details:- Company Name
- Address (including street name and number, postcode, city and country)
- VAT ID
Contact Person Details:- First and last name
- Email address
Steps to handle an existing organization
Section titled “Steps to handle an existing organization”If the end-customer organization already exists in the STACKIT system and you want to establish a customer relation with it, contact the Help Center or your Partner Sales Account Manager. They will help you create the necessary connection.
Method 2: Manage projects jointly within the reseller partner organization
Section titled “Method 2: Manage projects jointly within the reseller partner organization”Choose this method if you, the reseller partner, plan to fully or partially manage the end-customer’s projects.
Steps to onboard customers to the reseller partner organization
Section titled “Steps to onboard customers to the reseller partner organization”- Incorporate End-Customer Projects: Manage the end-customer’s projects directly within your existing partner organization. A separate organization is not required for the end-customer.
- Assign Project Roles: Assign appropriate roles to end-customer users within your partner organization. Ensure end-customer users only have access to the relevant projects and services.
