Find old versions of an image

Last updated on

It’s best practice to use the latest versions of the images, which include security patches and package updates, but if for some reason you want to use an old version of the image, you can do so via the STACKIT CLI and IAAS API.

Search for the base distribution name in combination with the required release number, for example “Ubuntu 22.04”, and find the image ID and release date so that you can later check the release notes for that image provided by the vendor. For security reasons, we retain images from the last 12 months, or the most recent version if no newer release is available.
