Overview

STACKIT Dremio is a managed service based on Dremio, the Data Lakehouse platform. Dremio is designed to provide a unified, high-performance SQL interface for querying data directly across various sources like cloud storage and relational databases. It eliminates the need for complex ETL processes by enabling data virtualization and providing a semantic layer for data discovery and governance.

Dremio leverages Apache Arrow for sub-second query performance and Data Reflections to automatically accelerate queries using pre-computed materializations. STACKIT Dremio manages the underlying infrastructure by distributing the computational workload across elastic engine nodes within a Kubernetes cluster. A user-friendly web interface is provided for executing SQL queries, managing the data catalog, and monitoring system performance.
