    We are excited to announce the Public Preview (Beta) of the STACKIT Automation Service!

    The STACKIT Automation Service empowers you to effortlessly design, schedule, and execute automated tasks within your cloud environment. By leveraging a library of predefined templates, you can now streamline the management of core STACKIT resources—starting with disk volumes.

    • Fast Recovery Points: The service utilizes volume snapshots to create high-performance recovery points, allowing for near-instantaneous state restoration.
    • Dynamic Label-Based Targeting: Instead of manually targeting individual resources, the automation dynamically discovers and applies policies to all volumes matching your specified labels.
    • Flexible Execution Triggers: Automation tasks can be scheduled to run automatically at custom intervals or executed on-demand instantly via manual triggers.
    • Integrated Snapshot Retention Policy: Built-in safety guardrails automatically manage your snapshot rotations. When enabled, the system prunes the oldest snapshots to maintain your defined volume limits and prevent backup creation failures.
