Integration and technical details

iCAS is a software-based archiving solution that runs on servers with Windows operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022). It can run on physical or virtual servers, such as a virtual machine on platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.

The software uses its patented Content Storage Container (CSC) technology to combine metadata with archived objects, protecting them from manipulation or unauthorized deletion. These CSCs are stored as files on your existing IT infrastructure, including on-site, cloud, or object storage.

The iCAS solution is implemented through a standardized deployment process directly in the STACKIT Cloud.
