Create and manage archiving routes

  1. Go to the STACKIT Portal

  2. On the left bar click on Archiving

  3. On the top bar click on Create archiving route

  4. On the new pane, fill out the needed fields in each category:

For all type of connections, there are 3 flavours or plans available. Each plan comes with certain amount of free storage and short technical explanation.

    PlanFree Storage (GB)Tr.p.s
    Small9.77GB50–150
    Medium97.66GB300–1000
    Large292.97GB1500+

Prices shown are monthly prices with assumed usage of 720hours within the same month. Transaction per second(Tr.p.s) is only indicative - it shows relative difference in performance between the different flavours.

Click on Add repository to add a first repository.

On the new pane fill in the Content repository name. If you use SAP, enter the same name as in the SAP system. The Retention period field defines the period of the repository itself This is different than the retention in SAP. The STACKIT Archiving Service defines how long an object lock must be active for the data stored. Retention can only be extended, never reduced.

Every Archiving route has the possibility to restrict access to its underlying repositories by defining specific range of IPs. That is done on top of the roles, defined in every STACKIT Portal Project or STACKIT Portal Organization.

A tooltip provides with a sample of IP range definition.

  5. Click on Order fee-based

  6. Once an Archiving route is created it will appear in the Archiving tab of the STACKIT Portal. All available instances are listed with their Names, Plan and Status.
