Use recovery codes for Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

If you lose access to your Multi-factor authentication (MFA) method, you can use single-use recovery codes to complete the MFA verification. You can generate new codes at any time in your User settings.

Remember these key points about recovery codes:

• Generating new codes overrides any previously generated codes.
• You can only view recovery codes when you generate them, so save them safely.
• Each code is for one-time use.

Generate new recovery codes

To generate a new set of codes, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Navigate to User Settings by selecting the avatar icon located in the header.
3. In the left-hand navigation, click Password & Security, then click Multi-factor authentication.
4. Click Generate codes.
5. Read the confirmation message, then click Generate.
6. After the codes are generated, click Copy to save them to your clipboard.
7. Alternatively, click Download PDF to download a PDF file with the codes to your computer.
8. Once you’ve saved the codes, click I have saved them.

You can use any of these recovery codes instead of an MFA verification code whenever a code is requested.
