Setup an object storage GUI client

Prerequisites

• Object Storage access credentials
  You can generate credentials by following the steps described in Create Object Storage credentials.

Download and Install Cyberduck

To download Cyberduckyou can follow the link to the official download pageand choose the install file for your OS or you can get it from your Microsoft Store/Mac AppStore.

Once downloaded run the installation file and follow the standard Windows application installation process.

In this example we are going to use the Windows version but the process is similar for MacOS too.

Open new Connection

Run Cyberduck from the Startup menu by typing it’s name in the Search field.

Create new Bucket

Once Connected you can create new bucket

1. Right click on the empty window and choose New Folder (CTRL+SHIFT+N) to create the new bucket

2. Enter the bucket name and click Create

A new bucket is now created

Upload File/Folder

1. Select the bucket you want to Upload the file to
2. Click Upload and new window opens
3. Navigate and select the file(s)/folder(s) you want to upload
4. Click Choose

The Upload is now complete

Download File/Folder

1. Select the**File(s)/Folder(s)**you want to Download
2. Right Click on it
3. Click Download or Download To

Download is now complete:

Bookmark your connection

You can bookmark your connection for later use.

1. Click Bookmark from the menu and chooseNew Bookmark

2. Choose name for the Bookmark and close the popup window.

The Bookmark is now in your Bookmark list.
