  Does the disk automatically grow with the database?

  No, you need to resize the disk manually. To learn more about it, read Create and manage instances for MongoDB Flex.

  How can I upgrade to a replica set?

  Currently it’s not possible to upgrade from a single instance plan to a replica set. You can clone your instance to a replica set. To learn more about it, read Backup, restore and clone MongoDB Flex. You need to edit all your client applications to point to the new instance in this case.

  Can I move to a greater flavor and then go back to a smaller one?

  Yes, you can change the flavor. Note, that changing the flavor causes a short downtime of your instance. To learn more about what parameters can be changed, read Plan your MongoDB Flex instance and Create and manage instances for MongoDB Flex to learn how to actually implement the changes.

  Can I change the storage class / performance class?

  On replica and sharded clusters, you can change the storage class/performance class. Note, that changing the storage class/performance class causes a short downtime of your instance. To learn more about what parameters can be changed, read Plan your MongoDB Flex instance and Create and manage instances for MongoDB Flex to learn how to actually implement the changes.

  Can I change the MongoDB port?

  The default port is 27017. Currently you can’t change the MongoDB port.

  Where is my data located?

  In general, STACKIT hosts the data exclusively in the EU. With MongoDB Flex, your data is located in the region eu01.

  Are all regions and data centres C5 certified?

  No, currently only eu01 as a region is equipped and tested with the C5 certificate.

  Can I see the test results of the recovery tests?

  We can provide you with the results of our regularly conducted recovery tests. Please create a service request on our Help Center to obtain the test results.

  How can I currently perform auditing on MongoDB Flex?

  Auditing is activated by default and the customer currently can’t deactivate it. If you want to get the audit log, please create a service request via the Help Center.

  Where can I check the vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) of MongoDB?

  Please refer to MongoDB security bulletins.

  Can I encrypt my connection to the MongoDB?

  The connection to your MongoDB is fully encrypted.

• Backup restore and cloning

  Where can I up- or download a backup?

  You cannot download a backup by yourself. But you can restore or clone a backup to the same or another instance on your own. Furthermore, you can use the MongoDB tools to make a backup using your clients.

  How can I create an analytical node?

  Currently we do not offer analytical nodes.
