Create a RabbitMQ service
Section titled “Create a RabbitMQ service”The following steps show you how to create a service via the STACKIT Portal App. Alternatively the services can also be created via the Cloud Foundry CLI and the Cloud Foundry UI (Stratos).

Log in to the STACKIT Portal choose your project.

On the menu on the left click on RabbitMQ.

Click on Create RabbitMQ.

Fill in all needed information in the respective sections:
General information
Section titled “General information”Fill in an instance name. You don’t need to create it, you can stick with the default proposal. Also select an instance version. For new projects it is advisable to select the newest available version.
Choose a plan, which fits your needs. Consult Service Plans to get more information about the available service plans.
Custom parameters
Section titled “Custom parameters”Select a Disk Treshold. This threshold will write protect your instance once the treshold is reached.
You can leave the ACL field untouched. The default entries guarantee, that your instance is reachable from within the STACKIT Public Cloud. If you want the instance to be reachable by external servers or workstations, you need to add their public IPv4 addresses, separated by a comma.

Click on Order fee-based to create the instance.

To use the Cloud Foundry CLI you first need to login into your STACKIT project endpoint. Read Interact with Cloud Foundry to get help logging in.

Create the RabbitMQ service with the
cfcommand:Parameter Meaning Example rabbitmq-plan An available plan for your instance.
See Service plans for RabbitMQ to learn about available plans.rabbitmq-1.2.10-replica individual-service-name The name of your service.
You can freely choose anything.my-cf-rabbitmq-service Terminal window cf create-service appcloud-rabbitmq41 [rabbitmq-plan] [individual-service-name]Example:

List all RabbitMQ services and get details of a service
Section titled “List all RabbitMQ services and get details of a service”- Log in to the STACKIT Portal choose your project.
- On the menu on the left click on RabbitMQ.
- You see a list of all RabbitMQ services of your project. To get details for a particular service, click on the list entry.

List the RabbitMQ services and watch details with the
cfcommand:List services

Edit a RabbitMQ service
Section titled “Edit a RabbitMQ service”- Log in to the STACKIT Portal choose your project.
- On the menu on the left click on RabbitMQ.
- You see a list of all RabbitMQ services of your project. To access the subpage for a particular service, click on the list entry.
Delete a RabbitMQ service
Section titled “Delete a RabbitMQ service”-
Log in to the STACKIT Portal choose your project.

On the menu on the left click on RabbitMQ.

In the list of your instances, navigate to the instance you want to delete. You can click the instance list entry to view details.

In the three-dots-menu of the instance click on Delete.

In the popup dialogue, enter the name of the instance for confirmation. Your instance will be displayed for a few seconds with the status Deleting. After that, the instance will be deleted and no longer shown in the list.

Delete a service with the
