Understand user accounts

A STACKIT user account is your personal identity on the STACKIT platform. It provides access to the STACKIT Portal, which is where you manage your projects, services, and billing information.

Think of your user account as your digital ID card for all things related to STACKIT. It’s tied to your email address and uses a secure password. You can also use single sign-on (SSO) if your company has it set up.

The user account is your credential for accessing the platform. It lets you sign in to the STACKIT Portal and provides a secure way to manage your cloud resources.

You can create a User account during a simple registration process. Once your account is active, you can:

• Log in to the STACKIT Portal to access and manage your projects.
• Manage your personal profile, including your language settings or password.

Your user account is the key that lets you access and control your resources. You’ll use it to log in, but all the actual work, like creating a STACKIT Container Service or a STACKIT PostgreSQL instance, happens inside a Project.
