Getting started

Welcome to the STACKIT quick start guide. This guide will walk you through the essential first steps to get started within STACKIT Cloud, enabling you to create and manage your STACKIT resources.

  1. The first thing you need to do is create your personal STACKIT user account. To do so, follow the instruction on How to create a user account.

  2. Once your account is created, log in to the STACKIT Cloud Portal to activate multi-factor authentication (MFA) and secure your account. For detailed steps, please refer to our guide on: Log into STACKIT Portal.

  3. Now that your personal account is secure, you need to connect it to a customer account. You have two options:

    • Join an existing account: If you received an email invitation, simply click the link in that email.
    • Create a new account: If you are setting up a new environment, follow our guide on Create a customer account.
  4. Create a new project or join an existing one to organize your STACKIT resources. To create a new project, follow the instruction on Create a project.

  5. You are now ready to create your first resource and start exploring STACKIT Cloud on your own.

STACKIT Cloud Portal


The STACKIT Cloud Portal is the central, user-friendly interface that lets you manage your cloud resources, services, and projects. It provides a visual and intuitive way to handle your cloud environment.

For developers and advanced users, we also provide direct access to Developer Tools, such as the STACKIT CLI and STACKIT API, for more automated and granular control over your resources.
