  My service usage is growing, what can I do?

  You can upgrade to a bigger service plan (scale up) or you can get another instance (scale out).

  What are the IP ranges used in the default ACL?

  During the creation of data services, a default Access Control List (ACL) is set. This provides an additional layer of security in addition to your username and password.

  This default ACL automatically includes the STACKIT IP ranges to ensure your instance can be accessed from other STACKIT cloud services. Because STACKIT’s public IP ranges can evolve over time, the exact default values depend on your project type:

  Project type	Default ACL
  Public	Dynamically populated STACKIT public IP ranges.
  Internal	Dynamically populated STACKIT internal IP ranges.

  If you are operating in a public project and want to verify the current STACKIT public IP ranges that might be included in your default ACL, you can fetch the most up-to-date list using the STACKIT CLI:

  It is highly recommended that you review your ACL after creating an instance and narrow the allowed IPs down to only the specific addresses your applications actually use.

  Which STACKIT Observability plan is required for the Key Value Store integration?

  To successfully integrate your Key Value Store instance with STACKIT Observability, you must select a supported plan.

  Do not use the following plans:

  • Observability-Starter-EU01
  • Observability-Monitoring-Starter-EU01
  • Observability-Frontend-Starter-EU01
  • Observability-Metrics-Endpoint-100k-EU01

  These plans are not supported for this integration. They either lack telemetry storage capabilities entirely, do not support alerting, or have insufficient metric sample limits.

  Instead, you must use a higher-tier plan (Basic or higher). Depending on whether you need the full suite (logs, metrics, and traces) or monitoring (metrics only), select one of the following supported plans:

  Full Observability Plans (Metrics, Logs, and Traces):

  • Observability-Basic-EU01
  • Observability-Medium-EU01
  • Observability-Large-EU01

  Monitoring-Only Plans (Metrics only):

  • Observability-Monitoring-Basic-EU01
  • Observability-Monitoring-Medium-EU01
  • Observability-Monitoring-Large-EU01
  • Observability-Monitoring-XL-EU01
  • Observability-Monitoring-XXL-EU01
