New Feature: STACKIT DNS Resolver enters Public Preview.

The DNS Resolver is an infrastructure component designed to deliver secure, high-performance domain name resolution entirely within the data-sovereign STACKIT Cloud.
Unlike typical catalog services, the DNS Resolver is not a product you need to order, but an underlying network enhancement built directly into our ecosystem. To maintain the highest security boundaries, it does not act as a generally available public resolver; its accessibility is limited to the STACKIT ecosystem, ensuring your internal lookup queries never leave our secure environment.
Core features and benefits
Section titled “Core features and benefits”- Data Sovereignty: Operated entirely within STACKIT’s sovereign European infrastructure, ensuring your DNS traffic remains protected and fully compliant with local data privacy standards.
- Knowing where to Go: DNS is at its best when pointing your workloads in the right direction, but that’s hard to do if your resolver itself is hard to find. To help with this a little, we’ve secured some easy-to-remember IPs, like
213.17.17.17, so you always know exactly where to point. - DNS over HTTPS (DoH): Native support for encrypted DNS resolution with no additional configuration requirements, shielding your queries from eavesdropping or tampering.
- Regional Availability: Fully deployed across both active regions (eu01 and eu02) to guarantee low-latency resolution for your workloads.
- Portal Integration & DNS Toolbox: Lookup your region’s specific resolver IPs within the existing DNS section of the STACKIT Portal. Additionally, the new DNS Toolbox rolled out to the Portal allows you to perform public DNS resolution tests and manually flush the resolver’s DNS cache if needed.
Seamlessly integrate at zero cost
Section titled “Seamlessly integrate at zero cost”Because this is a fundamental networking component, the STACKIT DNS Resolver is completely free of charge and requires no ordering process.
During this Public Preview phase, you can start routing your traffic through the resolver by manually updating your SNA or Network’s DNS server list or adjust the operating system configuration to point to the respective regional resolver IPs like 213.17.17.17.
