At STACKIT Marketplace, we understand that every organization has unique requirements when it comes to deploying its cloud-based solutions. That’s why we offer a variety of deployment methods tailored to different needs. This chapter is dedicated to explaining these methods in detail.

Software as a service (SaaS)

SaaS products are software applications that you can use directly over the Internet. You do not need to install any software or operate any complex infrastructure. Via the STACKIT Marketplace, we offer you a growing selection of SaaS solutions, which you generally purchase on a subscription (contract-based) basis. This means that you purchase a product on a monthly or annual basis, for example. Billing is monthly - please note the respective contract conditions of the vendor.

Subscription to a SaaS product

Select a SaaS product via the Marketplace. Navigate to its detail page and select Subscribe. Management and billing are conveniently carried out via the STACKIT portal.

You can subscribe to the product once per project in the Marketplace.

Free trial version of a SaaS product

If you would like to test the product before purchasing it, free trial versions are available for some products. Follow the instructions for the trial version of your chosen product to automatically switch to a subscription and, if necessary, cancel in good time to avoid unforeseen costs.

Cancellation

The merchant’s terms of termination for the specific product and the General Terms and Conditions of STACKIT Marketplace shall apply.

Future delivery methods

Our Cloud Marketplace already offers a variety of deployment methods to meet your individual requirements. However, we recognize that cloud technology is constantly evolving, and we are committed to providing you with innovative solutions.

In this section, we would like to provide you with an insight into future deployment options and features that we are currently actively evaluating and intend to integrate into our platform. Please note that the possibilities described here are not yet available. Our goal is to provide you with an overview of our strategic direction and to inform you about potential future deployment opportunities.

STACKIT Application Images (SAI)

STACKIT Application Image (SAI) products allow you to quickly deploy preconfigured operating systems and applications. The deployment may require one or more STACKIT Cloud resources from you as a customer. SAI therefore describes an application stack rather than a single software product. The goal is to implement a seamless one-click deployment function with minimal setup.

Kubernetes solutions

A STACKIT Kubernetes Engine (SKE) product is a custom container image or Kubernetes container stack provided by a vendor. You can use this custom container image on your own SKE cluster(s), either with Helm Charts, Terraform or Marketplace deployment automation. With our Kubernetes solutions you can, for example, develop and run modern applications or increase your scalability and flexibility.

Professional Services

The STACKIT Marketplace offering is supplemented by vendor products in the Professional Services area. Here you will find, for example, consulting services, implementation support, training, etc. With our Professional Services, we support you in getting the most out of the products and services of the marketplace and STACKIT, developing individual solutions and using expert knowledge. Examples of this include

Setting up cloud environments
Planning and migrating applications or data to the cloud
Cloud readiness assessments
Security and compliance assessments
Integration of cloud services into the existing IT infrastructure
