A key element in choosing the right solution is understanding the different pricing models that are offered. Providers in the Cloud Marketplace offer a variety of options, from usage-based fees to fixed subscriptions. Choosing the right model is crucial for cost control and optimal use of cloud resources. This guide is intended to help you understand the most common pricing models in the Cloud Marketplace and select the most appropriate option for your individual needs.
Contract-based (Subscription)
Section titled “Contract-based (Subscription)”The Subscription offer means that you conclude a contract for a monthly term and receive a bill from STACKIT. With this price model, please note the dealer’s information on prices, conditions and automatic renewal of the subscription.
Free Trial
Section titled “Free Trial”As a developer, cloud engineer, or solution architect, you can confidently explore and evaluate services on the STACKIT Marketplace. Use our Free Trial options to do this. A Free Trial is a time- or resource-limited chance to test a product before you buy it.
The trial lets you test selected STACKIT Marketplace services free of charge and without obligation. You will gain practical experience and see how Marketplace products work for your needs. After testing, you can decide if and how you want to continue using the services, such as by upgrading to a paid model.
While all trial offerings are labeled as Free Trial, the way you access them depends on the specific product:

Future pricing options
Section titled “Future pricing options”The STACKIT Marketplace continuously evolves to meet your diverse needs and optimize costs. While our current offerings use limited pricing models, we are exploring new options to provide greater value and flexibility.
This section previews future pricing structures we plan to introduce on the STACKIT Marketplace. These options are not yet available, but we want to share our vision for enhancing your pricing choices.
Pay-as-you-go
Section titled “Pay-as-you-go”With the Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) model, you pay only for the product resources you use. Your costs automatically adjust based on your consumption, increasing when you need more computing power or storage and decreasing when your requirements fall. Refer to each product’s service certificate for specific characteristics and granularity.
Bring your own license
Section titled “Bring your own license”Use your existing software licenses for certain products in the STACKIT Marketplace. Review the service certificate and terms and conditions of the corresponding product for details.
Individual offer
Section titled “Individual offer”A custom quote is a special pricing agreement negotiated directly with a vendor. This allows you to receive a product solution tailored to your specific usage scenarios, budget, and long-term goals, rather than using standard price lists.
Combined price models
Section titled “Combined price models”Combining different billing models offers maximum flexibility. This approach helps you optimize costs while leveraging the required performance and flexibility of the products.
Price fixing
Section titled “Price fixing”The individual terms and conditions of a retailer’s product apply.
