Change subscription plan
As a STACKIT Marketplace customer, you can change your existing subscription plan to an upgrade, downgrade, or sidegrade. Currently, plan changes follow a manual process to ensure your service remains stable and your data stays secure.
Request a plan change
Section titled “Request a plan change”Plan changes are not yet automated and require approval from the SaaS vendor to ensure technical feasibility. To start a request, follow these steps:

Navigate to the product
Go to the product detail page of the service you want to change.

Contact support
Click Change to Plan. A window appears with instructions to contact the STACKIT Marketplace Support.

Provide subscription details
To help the support team process your request faster, include the following information in your message:
- Subscription ID
- Product name
- Current plan name
- Desired plan name
Approval process
Section titled “Approval process”Once you submit your request, STACKIT Marketplace Support coordinates with the vendor to verify the change.

Feasibility check
The vendor confirms if you can change your plan without losing account settings or data.

Coordination
If the vendor approves the change, STACKIT aligns on a transition date (usually the 1st of the following month) to ensure your billing remains accurate.
Switch to your new plan
Section titled “Switch to your new plan”After your request is approved, you must complete two critical steps to prevent service interruptions.
- Cancel your current subscription so that it ends on the final day of the current billing term.
- Purchase the new plan on the final day of your old term.
