Product review process

Our review process has several steps to thoroughly check your product. This page provides a detailed overview of each step.

We analyze how your product fits into our existing Marketplace portfolio and the value it offers customers.

We check your product’s technical feasibility and functionality. We also verify if the STACKIT Marketplace supports your chosen delivery method:

  • If supported: We can proceed with integration.
  • If not supported: We will inform you and notify you when we create the technical requirements for your preferred delivery method. We continually expand STACKIT Marketplace capabilities to support a wide range of products.

If your product has APIs for integration, our team reviews them in detail. We test the following:

  • API functionality: Do the APIs work as documented? Do they enable the necessary interaction with the Marketplace?
  • API security: Do the APIs meet current security standards? Do they ensure secure data exchange?
  • API documentation: Is the API documentation complete, understandable, and helpful for integration?

Security and compliance are very important to us. We carefully check your product’s security and compliance features:

  • Security features: What security mechanisms does your product use to protect customer data and systems? Examples include encryption, access controls, and vulnerability protection.
  • Compliance information: What compliance standards and guidelines does your product meet? Examples include GDPR, ISO 27001, and industry-specific standards.

To validate your compliance claims, provide appropriate evidence. This includes certificates from independent testing bodies or compliance reports.

We check your product’s General Terms and Conditions (GTC) or Terms of Use (ToU) to ensure they are:

  • Legally compliant: They comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Fair and transparent: They contain clear and understandable provisions for customers, especially regarding usage scope, liability, and data protection.
  • Consistent with STACKIT Marketplace guidelines: They do not conflict with the Marketplace’s general policies and terms of use.

The information customers find about your product in the Marketplace is crucial for their purchase decision. We check the following:

  • Information completeness: Is all information about functions, prices, and technical specifications available and clear? Is a German or English translation also available?
  • Document completeness: Are all relevant documents available for customers to make an informed decision? Examples include product data sheets and documentation.

Visual elements are important for attracting customer attention and presenting your product well. We check the quality and completeness of marketing materials:

  • Logo guality: Are the logos available in different formats? Do they meet the specifications (see “Product Logo” in the Vendor Guide)?
  • Image and video quality: Are the images and videos high quality? Do you have the necessary licenses for the media used?
  • Material completeness: Are all required marketing materials provided according to Marketplace guidelines?
