Getting started as customer

This section introduces you to the first steps in using the STACKIT Marketplace. It offers you an orientation guide for getting started and explains the basic requirements for using the platform. The aim is to give you direct and uncomplicated access to the functions and offers of the STACKIT Marketplace.

Navigation to the STACKIT Marketplace

You can access the STACKIT Marketplace in two ways, both of which provide simple and direct access to the platform: either conveniently via the main menu in the STACKIT Portal, or via the STACKIT Marketplace website. Both access methods provide the same product portfolio. However, you can only purchase products through the STACKIT portal after you successfully log in.

Requirements for using the STACKIT Marketplace

In order to be able to fully use the various advantages and offers of the STACKIT Marketplaces, you only need a few basic requirements. These prerequisites have been created to provide you with secure, smooth access to a marketplace that is tailored to your needs.

• You have a STACKIT user account: Create a user account
• You have the following roles assigned: Assign a role to a service account
  • subscription.get / list - for accessing existing subscriptions
  • subscription.create / update / delete - to manage subscriptions
• You are member of an active organization. This ensures the payment modalities for your purchases in the Marketplace.: Create a customer account
• You have an active project. The project serves as a resource container and ensures billing via STACKIT: Create a project
